JAMMU, Oct 10: The Temples & Shrines Prabandhak Committee (TSPC) Tral Awantipora, district Pulwama, today elected new office bearers to the Committee.
Pairay Lal Bhat was elected as president of the Committee, Chuni Lal Bhat as vice president, Jawhar Lal Pandit as general secretary and Preduman Krishan Koul was elected as treasurer.
The election was held in the presence of outgoing president, Dr Ramesh Bhat.
In a handout issued here today the Committee said that the notification for the elections was issued in the first week of September and nomination forms were issued from September 28 to 30. The last date for filing of nominations was on October 4 and date of withdrawal was October 6.
Kashmiri Lal Bhat senior advocate J&K High Court was appointed Returning Officer for conducting the elections. But he only received four nomination papers one each for post of president, vice president, general secretary and treasurer and declared them elected for the respective posts as unopposed.
