JAMMU, Dec 29: Annual Hawan of Temples and Shrines Prabhandhak Committee, (TSPC) Tral-Awantipora was performed today at Sharda Trust/ temple Adarsh Nagar, Bantalab near here on eve of Maha Kali Mata Jyanti.
Hawan started yesterday evening and Puran Aahoti was performed this afternoon. It was followed by serving of Prashad to devotees.
A huge gathering from Tral and other parts of Valley participated in the religious function. The bhajan Kirtan was held since yesterday evening.
The religious scholars threw light on the significance of Maha Kali Jayanti as per Hindu mythology and said that Maha Kali is one of the forms of Mata Shakti.
Some prominent persons who attended today’s function include former MLA, Vijay Bakaya, M.L.Raina,Relief Commissioner ,Dy Commissioner, Relief V K. Dhar, Kiran Watal ex. Municipal commissioner. M K. Yogi president NC Minority Cell, Kuldeep Raina, Ravinder Raina, president, ASKPC,TK Bhat general secretary, ASKPC,Vinod Pandit,community leader and a large number of social and religious personalities.
President of TSPC, Tral, CL Bhat informed about the motive and achievements thereof by TSPC and general secretary, Tej Krishan Bhatt conducted the proceedings. Annual General Meeting ( AGM) of TSPC was also held on the occasion.
