Tu Tu Main Main staged by Rangyatri

JAMMU, Jan 18: Paying tributes to Sadat Hasan Manto, a very well known Urdu writer, on his death anniversary, Rangyatri in collaboration with Nav Durga Kala Manch staged Manto’s Tu Tu Main Main at its studio.
How a common man gets involved in teasing his wife continuously with on different pretexts was the core theme of Sadat Hasan Manto’s ‘Tu Tu Main Main’.
The play has been derived from the famous stories of Manto as it’s a mixture of 3 stories. The first story starts with the man sitting on a table looks like he has got a severe pain in his teeth. The story is also titled as “Akal Daarh”. His wife joins him and thereafter starts black comedy with the soft punches between both of them.
The other story which kept the audience fascinated was Shraab. In this story, a wife taunts her husband as why he drank wine and thereafter they again starts gossiping on this unusual topic.
In the end, the last story titled as Mulaqaati, was also one of the most entertaining story of Manto. The gist of the story and its punches again made the spectators enthralled with the soft comedy.
Aaditya Bhanu as husband and Reetu Manhas as his wife made the audience laugh, while the play was conceived, designed and directed by Mushtaq Kak and associated by Ifra Kak.
