NEW DELHI, Feb 20: Turmeric and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on easing demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels amid sufficient stocks position.
Turmeric prices drifted by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 10,200-14,400 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 13,400-13,700 and Rs 16,700-17,000 per quintal.
Marketmen said low demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 150-190, black pepper (per kg) 700-850, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,340-1,350 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,390-1,790.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 525-650, cardamom (colour robin) 540-550, cardamom bold 570-580, cardamom extra (bold) 620-640 and cloves 550-660. (PTI)
