JAMMU, Apr 12: Teachers Welfare Association President, Jasmeet Singh Madaan has said that strong resentment is prevailing among the employees community for delay in drawal of salary for the month of March before Baisakhi festival.
Although bills have been deposited in Treasury well in time but no MT has been received till date and tomorrow being a holiday in Secretariat and J&K Bank, employees have to celebrate Baisakhi without any fanfare.
Many auspicious occasions like Eid festival, Navratras and now Baisakhi, employees have to celebrate it without their pay which is a cause of concern for the families they are supporting, Madaan said
The TWA urged Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to personally intervene so that festival can be enjoyed by employees with full gaiety and fervour.
