JAMMU, July 11: Teachers Welfare Association (TWF) President Jasmeet Singh Madaan has urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Advisor R.R Bhatnagar, Commissioner Secretary, B.K Singh & State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to release the grants for students’ uniform for all students irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.
It has been seen that the general category students are deprived of school uniforms and only girls of all castes and SC/ST/OBC/BPL students are provided school uniforms free of cost by Government which lead to chaos and confusion among the students and at some places even teachers have to face the wrath of their parents too for not providing school uniforms to their wards.
“Generally the students in Govt. schools belongs to very poor category or labour class. Even the SC/ST/OBC/BPL student’s donot have their category certificate even though they belong to these under-privileged classes. So, keeping in view the socio – economic criteria in sight, it is urged upon Lt.Governor, Advisor and their team of hierarchy in Education department to come in rescue for these student’s in this difficult time,” Madaan said.
