KISHTWAR/DODA, Oct 28: Three calves were burnt alive while cattle sheds along with residential house also suffered heavy damages in twin fire incidents at Kishtwar and Doda districts on Monday.
Sources informed that in mountainous Kishtwar district fire broke out at Sheri Bhatan village of Padyarna at the cow sheds of Kunj Lal, son of Sant Ram; Lakhmi Chand, son of Sant Ram and Sher Singh, son of Bhagat Ram-all residents of Sheri Bhatan.
The fire destroyed the cattle sheds and also charred three calves.
After knowing about the fire incident, locals along with cops started dousing the blaze but it had caused much loss before it was put off.
Meanwhile, fire broke out in the double storey house of one master Mohd Shafi Matto, son of Bhar Din, resident of Jakyas.
Locals along with the cops and fire tenders doused the flames but the fire had already inflicted heavy losses.
Police has registered cases for both the incidents and started investigations.
