RAMBAN, June 13: Batote Police arrested two absconders, who were evading their arrest since long.
The arrested absconders were identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Ali Mohammad of Kangan District Ganderbal and Mohammad Reyaz, son of Abdul Rasheed of Paspura Kokernag District Anantnag.
Mohammad Shafi was absconding under the complaint (Istigasa) under Sections 15, 16 and 36 of 1996 Forest Act, while Mohammad Reyaz was absconding in a case registered under FIR Number 149/2011 under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA.
The arrest was made by police parties under the command of SHO Batote Inspector Rakesh Singh under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
