JAMMU, June 9: Police today arrested two absconders in Ramnagar town of Udhampur district. They have been identified as Abdul Hamid alias Hamidu son of Kaalu, a resident of village Laati, Ramnagar and Devraj son of Chatru R/o village Lehar, Ramnagar.
Devraj was wanted in a rape case and was absconding for last one year while Hamidu was absconding for last 19 years. He was wanted in FIR No. 44 of 1993 under Section 427, 447 and 323 RPC of Ramnagar police station.
Police had also issued warrants against them.
Police parties led by SHO Ramnagar Inspector Vishal Sharma made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Virender Bhat.
