JAMMU, Mar 23: Bahu Fort Police today arrested two absconders who were evading arrests for last many years.
“An information was received at police Station Bahu Fort through reliable sources regarding two absconders namely Sahil Gurang son of Late Kalam Gurang of Gorkhanagar and Swarn Dass son of Bua Dutta of Rajbagh, who were evading their arrest since 2008 in cases FIR Number 341/382 RPC and FIR No 420 /468/ 471/109/RPC, respectively of Police Station Bahu Fort,” a police spokesman said.
He said, accordingly special police teams of Police Station Bahu Fort under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari were constituted to arrest both the absconders. The team led by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali did strenuous efforts and finally arrested both the accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that the absconder namely Sahil Gurang was evading his arrest from the Municipal Court order and the absconder Swarn Dass was evading arrest order issued by City Court Jammu. The absconders shall be produced before the Court for further proceedings, the spokesman added.
