Two accident victims succumb to injuries

JAMMU, April 25: Two accident victims succumbed to their injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
According to a police official, a Special Police Officer (SPO) namely Anuradha (posted at Police Station Hiranagar) wife of Pawan, resident of Chiralyi (Samba) was undergoing treatment here at GMCH since April 20 after she suffered severe injuries in a road mishap at Dayalachak Road.
He said that the SPO succumbed to her injuries today at about 10:15 AM. “After getting conducted postmortem, her dead body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while Hiranagar police had taken cognizance of the matter,” the official added.
The police official further informed that a man identified as Channo Ram (80) son of Tanu Ram, resident of Badala (Kathua) was hit by a car at Changran near J&K Bank on April 17 and since then he was undergoing treatment here at GMCH for the injuries, he had suffered in the mishap.
The official said the old man succumbed to his injuries today at about 12:40 AM. He said after postmortem, the body of the man was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while Kathua police had taken cognizance of the matter.
