JAMMU, May 16: Two army personnel received serious burn injuries, while another suffered head injury, when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with an Army vehicle and later caught fire at tehsil Akhnoor.
Police spokesman said that, two army personnel identified as Raj Kumar, son of Tulsi Ram and Ajay Kumar, son of Shanker Dass, both residents of Pangyadi, tehsil Akhnoor received serious burn injuries, when the motorcycle they were riding on collided head on with an army vehicle in tehsil Akhnoor.
He said that Subash, son of Dhani Ram of Pangyadi, who was accompanying them also suffered head injury in the accident.
After collision, petrol tank of the motorcycle caught, in which Raj Kumar suffered more than 90 percent burn injuries and has been airlifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur for advance treatment, he added.
The two others namely Ajay Kumar and Subash were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
