Two more arrested for damaging petrol pump, vehicles

JAMMU, Aug 31: Two more accused including employee of Municipal Committee Vijaypur were arrested for damaging a petrol pump and around half dozen vehicles in Randhawa Colony of tehsil Vijaypur during the intervening night of August 29 and 30.
As per police sources, two more accused were arrested for damaging a petrol pump ‘Surya Filling Station’ and around half dozen vehicles of Yashpal Choudhary in Randhawa Colony of tehsil Vijaypur during the intervening night of August 29 and 30 taking the total arrest in the case to three.
The arrested accused have been identified as Harinder Singh alias Haju alias Raju, son of Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Randhawa Colony, Vijaypur and Municipal Committee employee Shammi Kumar, son of Joginder Paul, a resident of railway road, Vijaypur.
However, manhunt is on to nab two more accused including a woman, who were also found involved in the incident.
Police team led by Senior Superintendent of the Police (SSP) Samba Anil Magotra and SDPO Vijaypur SS Samyal made the arrests.
As reported, Gurdeep Singh, son of Hakam Singh along with his son Harvinder Singh alias Haju alias Raju and wife Rajinder Kour, residents of Randhawa Colony, Vijaypur, Shammi Kumar, son of Joginder Paul, a resident of Railway Road, Vijaypur and one other unidentified person carrying sharp edged weapons barged into the house of Yashpal Choudhary at Randhawa Colony, Vijaypur over some enmity and damaged petrol pump ‘Surya Filling Station’, around six vehicles, Air Conditioner (AC) and window panes of the house. Police had arrested Gurdeep Singh from the spot.
A case under FIR number 82/14 under Section 307, 458, 147, 148, 149, 427 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act already stands registered with Police Station Vijaypur in this regard.
