JAMMU, Mar 2: Nagrota police arrested two persons for smuggling bovine animals to Valley.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota police station laia a naka near tawi bridge and interceped a truck bearing registration number JK02R-6337.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two persons on the spot, who have been identified as Mushtaq Hussain, son of Lal Mohammad and Mohammad Younis, son of Mohammad Javad, both residents of district Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 56/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Karan Chalotra made the arres under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
