REASI, Apr 25: Pouni police arrested two persons for smuggling bovine animals.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Pouni police station laid a naka at Domel and intercepted two persons carrying bovine animals.
During questioning, it came to fore that the persons were trying to smuggle the bovine animals to Kashmir. Both the persons were arrested on the spot and two bovine animals were rescued from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Lal Hussain, son of Mohammad Aslam of Matyani, Tehsil Triayath District Rajouri and Mohammad Sayeed, son of Mohammad Rashid of Tredu, Tehsil Triyath, District Rajouri.
A case under FIR Number 20/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station Pouni and investigation started.
Police team led by Mohan Lal, DySP Headquarters Reasi made the arrest under the supervision of Sanjay Singh Rana, Additional SP Reasi and Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi.
