JAMMU, Aug 31: Two persons arrested with 200 litres of illegal diesel here today.
As per police sources, in an act of alertness and prompt action, a joint police team of Police Post Manwal led by Inspector Vikram Singh Jasrotia and DSB Jammu while on naka duty at Krishanpur intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14A-9597.
During checking, the team recovered 200 litres of illegal diesel and arrested two persons, who were identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Parkash Singh of Korga and Purshotam Kumar, son of Om Parkash of Korga.
During sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that diesel was stolen from BEACON (GREF) stone crusher.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
