JAMMU, Aug 8: Two persons were arrested illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a team from Belicharana Police Post led by SI RS Chib laid a naka and intercepted a load carrier bearing registration number JKO2CG-6572.
During checking, police team recovered 53 quarters of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested one person, who identified as Kuldeep Raj, son of Ratan Lal of Chakroi RS Pura District Jammu, at present Gol Gujral Talab Tillo District Jammu, who was travelling in the vehicle.
A case under FIR Number 163/2020 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Satwari during checking at Satwari-Gadigarh road intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CA-2727.
During checking, 50 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of one person identified as Sham Singh, son of Prem Singh of Gadigarh, who was in the vehicle.
A case under FIR Number 165/2020 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation initiated.
