RAMBAN, Aug 6: Ramsoo Police arrested two persons and recovered poppy straw from their possessions.
As per police sources, on specific information teams from Police Station Ramsoo laid nakas and intercepted a truck and a car.
During checking, police team recovered 7.490 grams poppy straw from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Tarseem Lal, son of Inderjeet of Dharam Pura Rajada Qadian District Gurdaspur Punjab and Rishav, son of Kamal Kumar of Hardomuthi Rajbagh Tehsil Marheen District Kathua.
Two cases under relevant sections of NDPS Act have been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started.
The overall recoveries and arrests were made by police parties headed by PSI Arun Singh and PSI Arun Thakyal under supervision of SHO Ramsoo Inspector Naeem Ul Haq, SDPO Banihal Nissar Ahmad Khoja and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
