Srinagar, Mar 22: Police today said two persons including a girl attempted suicide in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police spokesman said a girl (name withheld) hailing from Narapora village of Keller in the district consumed some poisonous substance at her home. “She was shifted to Keller hospital for treatment,” he said.
The spokesman said a youth (name withheld) hailing from Manihal village of the district consumed some poisonous substance at his home. “He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Shopian for treatment wherefrom he was referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment,” he said.
Police have registered cases in both the incidents, the spokesman added.
