UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: A book release function was organised here today by the literary organisation ‘Srijan’ in which two books named ‘Pracheen Duggar: Ik Jhaank’ and ‘Duggar Ke Rajwaare’ written in Dogri by eminent writer, historian and Padma Shree Awardee, Prof. Shiv Nirmohi were released by Dr. Adarsh Prakash, president of Srijan.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Adarsh appreciated the new literary works by Prof. Nirmohi on ancient history of Jammu.
Both the books have been published by Akshay Prakashan, Ansari Road, New Delhi.
Anil Paba, well known archaeologist and president, Udhampur Development Council, read papers on both the books.
Ashok Sharma, renowned columnist and writer hoped that these books will help a lot in unravelling the ancient history of Jammu.
Maheshwar, an educationist from Purmandal also threw light on the contents and importance of these books.
Both these books are available at Sahitaya Sangam, Kachi Chawani Jammu at modest price.
