Two bootleggers held with 71 bottles of illicit liquor

JAMMU, Mar 24: Two bootleggers were arrested with 71 bottles of illicit liquor from different areas of the Jammu District today.
A police spokesperson said that 18 bottles of JK special whisky were recovered from the possession of one Gopal Singh by Border Police Post Gajansoo.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 45/2024 under section 48(f) of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Kanachak and further investigation taken up.
Another bootlegger identified as Ram Paul of Karwanda, Bhalwal, Jammu, was arrested with 53 bottles of illicit liquor by a team of Police Station Gharota.
He has been booked in case FIR number 33/2024 under section 48-A of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Gharota and further investigation taken up.
