JAMMU, July 21: Nagrota police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing two bovine animals from the clutches of a smuggler.
According to a police official, a police party of police station Nagrota during naka checking at TCP Nagrota rescued two bovine animals from a load carrier on which they were being smuggled. He said the driver of load carrier, however, managed to give police a slip.
A case FIR number 291/2019 under relevant Sections was registered in this connection at police station Nagrota and the vehicle involved in the crime was seized.
