Two buses collide, 22 passengers injured

Buses which collided headon at Tali Morh on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Oct 9: Twenty-two passengers were injured, four of them seriously, following a head on collision between two buses at Tali Morh area, under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02F-5077 and JK02C-8527 collided head-on at Tali Morh, Miran Sahib, resulting into injuries to 22 passengers.
On getting information, police party from Miran Sahib police station led by SHO Jagdeep Lundup and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured, where rushed to RS Pura hospital in police and other vehicles.
Later, four passengers, who were in serious condition, were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The four seriously injured, who were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have been identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Ramanand of Bihar, presently living in Kotli, Miran Sahib, Ambika Sharma, daughter of Dwarka Nath of Bishnah, Nirupma, daughter of JR Sharma of Kathua and Banarsi Lal, son of Hans Raj of Kotli, Miran Sahib.
The other injured, who were admitted in RS Pura Hospital and were discharged after first aid have been identified as Vijay Kumar, Char Singh, Sujata Kumari, Bhadur Lal, Diksha Kumari, Vasudar, Narinder Kumar, Puran Chand, Ratno Devi, Nirmal Kumari, Krishnawati, Neelam Kumari, Dinesh Dutt, Sanjeev Kumar, Raj Singh, Anu Kumari and Sukhdev Singh.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and manhunt has been launched to arrest the drivers, who fled from the spot after committing the offence.
