Two chain snatchers held

JAMMU, Nov 2: Police claimed to have arrested two chain snatchers from Pounichak area here today.
A police spokesperson said that several complaints were lodged in Police Station Domana and Police Post Pounichak regarding chain snatching incidents in Pounichak area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
Acting on the complaints, he said, three different FIRs were registered in the Police Station Domana and investigation taken up.
The investigating teams of Police Post Pounichak led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor and assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Jamwal and incharge Police Post Pounichak PSI Nitish Khajuria, finally arrested the accused, he said.
They were identified as Nikhil Magzhine and Akash Khurana of Suraksha Vihar, Paloura, Jammu.
According to the police spokesperson, the accused were involved in several cases of chain snatching.
On their disclosure, five gold chains were recovered and a scooty used in the commission of the offence seized, added the police spokesperson.
Pertinently, the overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Rural Rahul Charak.
