Two civilians hurt in blast

JAMMU, Aug 2: Two civilians were injured when a hand made bomb they were making exploded in their house at village Simbal under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station tonight.
The injured have been identified as Harnam Singh, 70 and Mohinder Singh, 50, both relatives and residents of Simbal.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) RS Pura Diwakar Singh told the Excelsior from the spot that Mohinder and Harnam were making hand made low intensity bombs in the house of Mohinder’s brother-in-law at village Simbal for killing animals when one of the bomb exploded.
Both of them were injured in the blast.
Mr Singh said both the civilians used to make hand made bombs of very low intensity to kill animals and there was no other motive in making the bombs.
Police shifted both the injured to Military Hospital, Satwari as son of Mohinder Singh was an Army jawan.
Police have registered a case against both the accused at Miran Sahib police station under Section 286 RPC and 4/5 Explosive Substances Act. Both of them would be arrested for questioning after being discharged from the hospital.
Police said some material used in making hand made bombs has also been recovered from the house.
