JAMMU, July 24: Two persons allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, Darshan Lal, son of Bari Lal of Jourian, tehsil Akhnoor and Sham Lal, son of Booti Ram of Main Bazaar, district Samba allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at their respective residences.
Noticing them unconscious, family members shifted them to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they breathed their last during treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to legal heirs after autopsy, while cases have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Anju Bala, daughter of Krishan Lal, resident of Khanpur, District Samba made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous stuff at her home.
Family members rushed her to Vijaypur Hospital, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Police has registered a case and started investigation to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
