JAMMU, Dec 17: In separate cases, two persons today allegedly tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, an 18-year-old youth identified as Avinash (18) son of Vakil Chand, resident of Village Kot, today consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which his family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Similarly, a youth namely Rajesh Sharma (23) son of Bodh Raj, resident of lower Muthi also made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence. He was also shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
