JAMMU, Dec 22: A Two day All India Dogri Writers’ Conference concluded today at Abhinav Theatre.
The first session of the second day opened with the presentation of paper by Mohan Singh, a Sahitya Akademi Awardeee on the topic “An evaluation of Dogri Play and One-act Play of 21st century”, followed by two papers by Susheel Begana on the topic “Poetry of 21st century” and by Dr Vijay Seth on “Dogri Essays of 21st century”. The presidium of this session was shared by Dr Om Goswami, Prakash Premi and Prof Shiv Nirmohi.
In the second session, two more papers were presented by Dr Padam Dev Singh Nadaan on the topic “Dogri Children literature” and by Surjit Hosh on “Translated literature into Dogri” under the presidium that included Chattarpal, Dhian Singh and Gianeshwar.
The third session of the second day of the Conference was most important in which a panel discussion was arranged. In the presidium, Darshan Darshi acted as moderator and other members in the presidium were Dr Lalit Magotra and Prakash Premi. In this session, a threadbare deliberation was held and a resolution was also passed for the promotion of art, culture and languages.
The last session was of Mushaira in which poets drawn from Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh and from all corners of Jammu Division read out their poetries. The poets, who read out their poetries were Darshan Darshi, Dhian Singh, Gianeshwar Sharma, Dr Jatinder Udhampuri, Dr Nirmal Vinod, ND Jamwal, Dr Om Bidyarthi, Shiv Dev Singh Susheel, Ashok Ambar, Bishan Singh, Dardi, Vijay Sharma, Prakash Premi, Kewal Kumar Kewal, Inderjeet Kesar, Ashok Sharma, Brij Mohan, Dr Gian Singh, Shiv Dev Singh Manash, Naveen Haldunavi, Neeru Sharma, Suneel Sharma, Dr Goutam Vyathit, Dr Pritush Guleri, Dr Piyush Guleri, Dr Arinder, Shamveer and Vijay Verma. The presidium of this session was shared by Mohan Singh, Prof Veena Gupta and Piyush Guleri.
The proceedings of the sessions were conducted by Dr Rattan Lal Bastora, Asstt Editor and Yash Paul Nirmal, Research Asstt. The overall Incharge of the programme was Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri.
