JAMMU, Oct 29: The two-day fifth annual conference of Jammu and Kashmir Orthopedic Association (JKOA) concluded, here today.
Organized by the department of Orthopedics, ASCOMS and Hospital Sidhra, the Conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from various parts of the country. Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director Health Services Jammu, was the chief guest on 2nd day. Dr Saleem, guest faculty as well as local faculty was honored on the occasion.
During the 2-day conference, the masters of Orthopaedics from all over the country delivered their lectures and gave their insight into different aspects of orthopaedics. The highlights of second day were tumor session and scientific paper writing session. There were awards for best papers and posters. Dr Aditya Gupta bagged the award for best paper and Dr Pulikit Sharma won best poster award.
Earlier, Prof Rajesh Gupta, organizing secretary of the Conference, said that the conference will bring good outcome in terms of skill set development. He further opined that type of response from delegates and orthopaedic surgeons from various parts of J&K give him huge satisfaction.
In his closing remarks, Prof Gupta expressed gratitude to DK Batra (vice president, ASCOMS Hospital) for his support and Dr Pavan Malhotra (Director Principal, ASCOMS) for consistent help for making the conference a huge success.
