Two-day conference on faculty development begins in GMC Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 6: Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) India in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu inaugurated a two-day conference on faculty development at NMCN Hall of the College.
Dr Nasib Chand Digra (Ex-Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu) was the chief guest of the inaugural function while Brigadier Faiz Ahmad (Commandant, 166, Military Hospital Satwari, Jammu) was the guest of honour. Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu) presided over the function while Dr Pavan Malhotra (Director Principal, ASCOMS) was special guest on the occasion.
Principals of GMC Srinagar/Doda/Rajouri/Kathua/Udhampur/Handwara/Anantnag/Baramulla or their representatives and many others joined the conference through virtual mode.
Dr Yashpal Sharma, Director (Coordination) New GMCs, Paramedical & Nursing Colleges, J&K, being the National president of the AHA India welcomed all the delegates and faculty and appraised the house about objectives of the society. Rajeshwar Singh Charak (Additional Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, Civil Secretariat) also graced the function as special guest.
More than 200 delegates including faculty, doctors, Residents, Post Graduates students, tutors, nurses and paramedical staff from different parts of J&K attended the Conference which shall continue tomorrow as well and eminent speakers from premier institutes shall deliberate topics preparing to hospital administration and patient safety.
Prof Dr Vishal R Tandon, the organizing secretary of the conference, delivered the vote of thanks.
