POONCH, May 28: Maximum Healthcare in association with Poonch Brigade of Indian Army and Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial (NGO) organized a two day free medical checkup camp at Tehsil Mandi.
About 511 patients from far flung remote areas were medically examined out of which 210 were male, 233 were female and 68 were children.
While inaugurating the camp, Brigade Commandant, Poonch Brigade Chiter Sain thanked the team of doctors and para medics from Maximum Healthcare, AMC and SDH Mandi. He emphasized on regular check up and counseling during their follow up examination and also stressed upon the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyle.
Dr Manish Manocha, Group Head, Maximum Healthcare said that special focus was laid on diabetes, hypertension, bone, joints and Spine and dietary habits.
Health talk was delivered by Mohd Ali on lifestyle modifications.
The facility to check random blood sugar, ECG, laser guided knee pain relievers and nerve conduction test were made available for specific patients.
Awareness sessions were also conducted amongst the community on sanitation and hygiene.
The locals expressed their desire to organize such medical camps in future as well.
The camp was attended by Dr Manish, Dr Shaik, Dr Niharika, Dr Pandey, Dr Ruchi, Dr Sarika, Physiotherapists, paramedics, Mohd Ali, Nadeem Amjad, Chowdhary Samir, Chowdhary Arif, members of Civil society, administrative officers, J&K Police and Surinder Singh, Head, Media Relations, Maximum Healthcare.
