Two-day Intl Conference begins at CUJ

JAMMU, May 8: Two-day 4th International Conference on Recent Innovations in Computing (ICRIC-2021) commenced today in Central University of Jammu (CUJ) in online mode.
The conference is being organized by Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Central University of Jammu through Google meet. The inaugural ceremony of the Conference was attended by more than 100 participants across India and abroad.
Amit Sharma, Advisor Cyber, Ministry of Defence Government of India delivered keynote address on “Dark Web and Virtual Crypto Currency Contemporary Challenges to Cyber Space”.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu presided over the inaugural session and motivated participants through his inspirational talk. He also emphasized the need for such Conferences for updating knowledge in Recent Innovations in Computing of researchers in emerging fields.
Prof Devanand, Dean, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Central University of Jammu emphasized the need for such events to share the research and innovations in computer applications.
Earlier, Dr Yashwant Singh, General Chair and Head of the Department, while presenting welcome address, informed that this year ICRIC-2021 received a total of 165 paper submissions from 12 countries and 17 states of India. He said after reviewing, ICRIC-2021 finally accepted 50 papers out of which 47 registered for oral presentation (an acceptance rate of 28%) for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
He further informed that all these papers have been organized into 10 technical sessions on 8th and 9th May, 2021. “After the presentation, all accepted papers will be published in Springer’s LNEE,” he added.
