Two-day medical camp by Army begins at Thannamandi

RAJOURI, May 13: A 2-day medical camp for the locals commenced today at Thannamandi.
The Camp is being organized by Indian Army in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation (Nasik) and the Civil Administration. The Camp was inaugurated today by Brigadier B S Sandhu, Commander of 13 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Col Rohit Bharat (Commanding Officer of 61 Rashtriya Rifles).
The Medical Camp, held at Thannamandi witnessed the participation of doctors who generously volunteered their expertise to serve the local population. Among the dedicated medical professionals were Dr Sanjay Gaikhe (General Physician), Dr Jayshree Gaikhe (Gynecologist), Dr Mahindra Gadeker (Pediatrician), Dr Shilpa Gadeker (Gynecologist), Dr Nilesh Dhananjay (Orthopedic Surgeon) while doctors from GMC Rajouri were also present there in the camp.
Dr Sanjay Gaikhe known for his compassionate care and thorough guidance along with his colleagues provided comprehensive medical check-up and consultation to a total of 532 individuals, including 250 male and 282 females and small children.
The initiative aimed not only to provide immediate medical assistance but also to foster a sense of community well-being and support. The Indian Army remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the people of Thannamandi and surrounding areas ensuring their health and welfare. This camp is aimed to assist resident population and Gujjar-Bakkarwal community from far flung areas.
DDC Thannamandi Abdul Qayoom Mir, Principal BHSS Thannamandi Jawaid Iqbal Raina, Abdul Ghani Shawl, Imran Khan, Shahbaz Khan, Arshad Nawaz Khan and Haji Maqbool Raina, many political leaders, social workers and business fraternity were present on the occasion.
