JAMMU, Dec 8: A two-day State level Management Development Programme (MDP) for Nursing Professionals/Tutors and MSc Nursing students of Government and Private Nursing Colleges/GNM/ANMT Schools of Jammu Division, commenced today in the auditorium of BEE ENN College of Nursing, Chak Balwal, Jammu.

The programme is being organized by Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA), India in Collaboration with BEE ENN College of Nursing Chak Balwal, Jammu.
Dr Yashpal Sharma, Director Coordination New Medical Colleges, Paramedical & Nursing Colleges of J&K and National president of AHA India was the chief guest of this training programme along with Dr Sanjay Sharma Deputy Director Health Services Jammu representing Director Health.
Dr Arun Sharma (Medical Superintendent, Maternity Hospital Gandhinagar and regional secretary AHA Jammu chapter), Kunil Bhalla (Managing Trustee of Bee Enn Charitable Trust and Neelam Bhalla (advisor to Bee Enn College of Nursing and Bee Enn Nursing Institute, Chak Balwal, Jammu), Dr Vijay Raina (Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu), Shakuntala Sharma (Director BEE ENN College of Nursing and Nursing Institute), Neetu Sharma (Principal Nursing institute) and Prof Frank (Principal Bee Enn College of Nursing) and Dr Israel Jeba Prabu (Vice Principal, BEE ENN college of Nursing) where among the dignitaries present.
The participants are from whole of Jammu division including Government Medical College Jammu and its associated hospitals and hospitals from districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi under Directorate of Health Services Jammu. Total 60 participants took part in the training. Resource persons and moderators of sessions are from all over Jammu.
Topics of 2-day MDP include Medical Negligence, Communication & Soft Skills, Women Empowerment & Development, Role of Nursing in Prevention of Hospital Infection, Ethical & Legal Issues Related to Nursing Management in Hospitals, Challenges in Management Clinical Services (Accident and Emergency Services Operation Theater), HR & Conflict Management, Disaster Management Role of Nursing Staff, Skilled Based Methods of Teaching and Learning & Bridging the Theory and Clinical Gap, Quality Assurance in Nursing.
