Two-day training programme on IPRs commences

UDHAMPUR, June 2: Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy in collaboration with Cell for IPR promotion & Management (DPIIT) Union Ministry of Commerce and Industries organized a two days training programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
Nineteen officers from different wings of J&K Police are participating in the training which was inaugurated here today.
The course has been designed to meet basic objectives of the training like Overview of Intellectual Property Rights, Introduction and need for IPRs in India, Overview of Biotechnology and Intellectual Property, Research and IPRs Management etc.
To fulfill the objectives of the course, eminent guest faculties from CIPAM New Delhi have been invited to share their experiences with the course participants.
On this occasion an inaugural function was organized in which Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor) was chief guest.
Gupta welcomed all the participants on behalf of Director SKPA.
In inaugural address, Dy. Director (Indoor) gave brief introduction of IPRs and laid emphasis on adequate enforcement of IPRs, especially in the time when there is faster growing Indian economy.
The inaugural function was also attended by faculty members of SKPA.
The training is being coordinated by Sukhvir Singh, Dy.SP, AD (Outdoor) and assisted by Chander Mohan Sharma, Inspector, Member faculty.
