RAJOURI, Sept 26: Two day workshop on “LATEX”, organized under the aegis of TEQIP-III concluded here today at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
The workshop was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, BGSBU.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Javed Musarrat was the chief guest on the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Massarat emphasised on the importance of such workshop for manuscript writing using open source software “LATEX”. Prof Musarrat said that such events would only add value to the academic and research endeavors of the school of Engineering and Technology.
He stressed upon the faculty, research scholars and students to get benefit of such workshops to increase the efficiency of their research outputs.
Prof Iqbal Parvez Dean Academic Affairs and Coordinator of TEQIP- III highlighted the activities that are taking place under TEQIP-III. He said that many such activities are planned for the ongoing academic session to improve the research and innovative capabilities of the school.
Prof Mohammad Asger, Dean SOET explained the use of LATEX software.
During the workshop distinguished key note speakers from Aligarh Muslim University Dr Mohd Wajid and Dr Arghya Chakravarty, IIT Delhi gave hands on training about manuscript writing using LATEX.
Tasaduq Hussain Coordinator of the workshop presented the vote of thanks.
Earlier, Shafqat Mughal, Head of the Department presented the welcome address.
The valedictory session of the workshop was attended by Deans, Heads, faculty members and students both from within and outside the department.
