JAMMU, Mar 16: Two-day workshop on “Life Skills” organized by the NSS Unit of the Government College of Education Jammu concluded today.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Principal of the College Prof Aekta Gupta with an aim to assist the participants in developing skills that would enable them to handle life challenges proficiently.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal said that enough thrust on the “Life Skills” has been laid in the NEP 2020 as such College has taken the initiative to impart training to the students through the NSS Programme Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal, who is trained as Master Trainer by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chandigarh.
During the workshop, students performed different activities to enhance their communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Dean Education of Cluster University of Jammu Dr Zubair Kales was the guest of honour on the occasion and he appreciated the initiative taken by NSS Programme Officer, who encouraged the participants to focus on their potential and channel their energies positively to become contributing members of society.
Several faculty members of the college namely Prof Anju Bala, Prof Radhika Mahajan, Prof Neeraj Verma and Prof Sarita Dogra were present on the occasion.
