JAMMU, Dec 16: Two days sanitation drive on food hygiene and FSSA Act was conducted at various places.
The drive was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Jammu Dr Parvesh Kumar in Bus Stand, Gandhi Nagar, Akhnoor Road, etc area in which various issues such as hygiene and cleanliness of shops were inspected.
The shopkeepers were asked to maintain personal hygiene, keep food containers clean and maintain dress code.
While speaking, Dr Parvesh Kumar said that such activities will continue in future also. Drives to aware common masses at their door step about personal hygiene will be conducted very shortly.
Fine was imposed on 15 persons for smoking in public places under Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act (COPTA).
