RAJOURI, June 30: A tragic road accident occurred today on Koteranka-Shahpur Road near Korag (Mohra-B), involving a Maruti car (registration number JK 11A-3869), leading to death of 2 persons and injuries to 1 another.
The vehicle, carrying three members of the same family, met with a severe accident. Two people including Mohd Shakeel (45 years), son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Korag (Mohra-B) and Mukhtar Ahmed (19 years), son of Mohd Shakeel, resident of Korag (Mohra-B) died on the spot.
One injured was Shamim Akhter (44 years), wife of Mohd Shakeel, resident of Korag (Mohra-B), who sustained serious injuries and was initially treated at CHC Kandi before being referred to GMC Rajouri for further medical care.
The postmortem of the deceased persons was conducted and their bodies were handed over to the police for further procedures. ADC Kotranka Dil Mir, Tehsildar Kotranka Sahil Ali Shah and Dr Vinod Kumar Bhat (Block Medical Officer) promptly reached the scene to manage the situation.
