Two die, 4 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 17: Two persons died and four others were injured in different road accident across the Valley.
A police spokesperson said that a Tipper bearing registration number PB-10-PC/1133 hit S. Surinder Raj, a Manager working for Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), in a tunnel at Dam site Gurez, Bandipora resulting in him on the spot death.
Meanwhile, a Tractor bearing registration number 2154/JK03B turned turtle at Dangerpora, Padgampora, Awantipora, resulting in injuries to four persons. One of the injured Hafeeza, 45 wife of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi of Padgampora died on her way to the hospital. The body of deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Awantipora Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number 0721/JK03A hit and injured a pedestrian Amina Begum, 55 of Teelwani at Teelwani, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
