JAMMU, Jan 28: At least two persons died in road accidents in Jammu province, police said on Saturday.
They said one Darshan Lal (55) son of Sewa Ram of Phallain Mandal was injured in a road accident at Bahu area on the University Road on January 24.
“He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries on January 28,” said a police spokesperson.
Meanwhile, one person suffered injuries after a load carrier was hit by an unknown vehicle at Sarwal area.
“He was pronounced as dead on arrival by doctors at the Medical College Jammu,” said the police spokesperson, adding, “cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and further investigations taken up”.
