UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: Two individuals lost their lives today in separate road accidents occurred at Omara Morh and village Lansi of Udhampur.
According to police sources, the first accident occurred at village Lansi near Krimchi, when a Scooty (JK02A-9185) collided with a bus (JK14G-4577) on its route from Mongri to Udhampur. The Scooty rider, identified as Pawan Singh, 27, son of Kuldeep Singh from Mongri, Panchari, reportedly died at the scene.
In a separate incident at Omara Morh, a motorcycle (JK02AQ-6235) collided with an Army School bus. Local residents quickly rushed to assist, transporting the two injured riders to District Hospital Udhampur. Tragically, Pankaj Singh, 19, son of Pawan Singh from Rehambal, was declared dead on arrival, while the injured pillion rider, Vanshu Sudan, 18, son of Vineet Kumar from Garhi, Udhampur, was admitted for treatment.
Both the incidents have been registered at Police Station Udhampur, and investigations are ongoing.
