JAMMU, Feb 22: In separate incidents, two drug-addicts died of drug overdose in Jammu today.
According to police sources, a 35-year-old man namely Har Simran Brar alias Bittu son of Nashatar Brar, resident of Punjab (at present living in Narwal Pain, Jawahar Nagar area of Satwari in Jammu) died due to alleged drug overdose at a drug addiction centre located at Kotli Shah Doula under the jurisdiction of Police Station RS Pura.
“A 22-year-old youth namely Rohit son of Des Raj, resident of Qasim Nagar was also found dead at his residence due to alleged drug overdose,” sources said, adding dead bodies of both the deceased was shifted to GMC Jammu from where they were later handed over to their legal heirs after getting conducted postmortem.
“In both cases, inquest proceedings were initiated at concerned police stations,” they added.
