JAMMU, Aug 29: Two persons ended their lives by hanging in different areas of Jammu District today, police said.
They said one Surinder Kumar (26) son of Pawan Kumar of Garhi, Purkhoo, was spotted hanging at his home today.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where he was declared as dead on arrival by the doctors, police said.
Another person identified as Ram Kumar Shrestha (45) son of late Kedar Shrestha of Nepal at present Model Town Gangyal was found hanging with the ceiling fan using his bed sheet at his current accommodation around 2 Pm today, said police.
“He was also declared as dead on arrival at the GMC by the team of doctors,” they said. The deceased used to work at a cycle repairing shop.
Bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortems while as inquest proceedings have been initiated at the concerned police stations to ascertain the reasons as to why the duo ended their lives.
