KATHUA, Oct 25: Two persons were killed in road accidents at different locations of the district.
As per police sources, a man identified as Raj Kumar (53), son of Kartar Chand of Ward Number 9, Basohli, received serious injuries after being hit by a tipper bearing registration number JK08A-0817 near his residence.
He was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Basohli, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of SDH Basohli, where after conducting postmortem tomorrow, the body will be handed over to family members for last rites.
In another incident, a youth namely Bunty, son of Janak Raj of Tirthpur Matindi, Lakhanpur died, when the motorcycle he was riding on slipped near Lakhanpur late last night.
The body of the deceased was shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kathua, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
