JAMMU, Mar 6: Natraj Natya Kunj Cultural Society Jammu, released two Dogri books written by Kumar A Bharti, prominent writer and director at studio Ranglok, Bakshi Nagar, here today.
On the occasion Dr H K Bhagat and Dr Sudhir Mahajan were chief guest and guest of honour respectively. Sham Raina veteran writer and critic presided over the function.
The released books titled “Jammu Di Anmulli Lok Virasat” and “Chal Mere Harna Tichak Toon”. The first book is a collection of articles related to rich Dogra heritage including Haran, Jater , Lok Sanskriti etc while second book is a Dogri folk play, which is based on Dogri folk form ‘Haran’.
Speaking on the occasion Sham Raina said that these two books would help the young generation to understand and learn about our values, rich Dogra traditions and different folk forms of Dogra region. Dr Sudhir Mahajan appreciated the efforts of Kumar A Bharti and said that such type of books should be written, which enrich Dogri literature.
