DODA, Nov 25: Continuing its drive against traffic violators, Police here today registered two FIRs against drivers, seized three vehicles and Challaned 58 vehicles for violation of traffic laws on different routes in District Doda.
Giving details, Doda Police said that FIR No. 156/2023 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah against the driver of a vehicle of TATA SUMO make, Umer Farooq, resident of Sarna, Bhaderwah for rash and negligent driving and endangering the life of pedestrians, passengers and others.
Another FIR with number 259/2023 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Doda against the driver of three-wheelers (Auto), Ashiq Hussain, resident of Chilliban Gundna, Doda for overloading passengers.
Police arrested the drivers and their vehicles were seized.
Apart from that, three vehicles were seized and 58 were Challaned for traffic violations on different routes in Doda.
Police has appealed to the general public to cooperate with cops by providing them information, if any, about drivers driving their vehicles rashly, negligently or doing any kind of traffic violation.
