Two drown in Tawi River, one body recovered

JAMMU, June 3: Two youth drowned separately in Tawi River, while body of one of the youth recovered from the river today.
A police official said that one Ratish Patel son of Bhushan Patel of Bihar at present Digiana Ashram was taking bath in the river along with his friends when he drowned around 4:30 pm in the river near Har Ki Paudi area.
Soon after getting information, teams of police, SDRF, and NDRF launched a rescue operation to trace the missing youth, he said, adding that the body of the missing youth was recovered from the river around 11:50 today.
After performing the legal formalities, the body of the deceased youth was handed over to his family members for performing the last rites.
Meanwhile, one Danish (17) son of Abdul Majeed of Bajalta drowned while bathing in the river near Malhori opposite Katal Batal today.
After getting information, teams of Police Post Sidhra, Nagrota, SDRF, along with locals launched a rescue operation but by the time this news was written the youth was not traced.
Police have launched separate cases and started further investigations into the matters.
