Two drug peddlers arrested with 9 kgs poppy straw

JAMMU, Nov 20: Bus Stand police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bus Stand Police Station apprehended two drug peddlers along with nine kilograms of poppy straw.
The arrested persons have been identified as Gurmeet Singh, son of Sohan Singh and Shiv Dayal Rana, son of Bayant Singh, both residents of Bhuno Bahowal , Hoshiarpur Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 99/17 under Section 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered against them at Bus Stand Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
