Srinagar, May 17: Police today said it arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
A police spokesman said acting on a specific information, police laid a checkpoint at Nowpora Chowk in Bandipora district. “During the checking, two persons identified as Ubaid Hussain Baba and Wajahat Hussain Rana were intercepted. On checking, some contraband substances were recovered from their possession,” he said.
The spokesman said a case under FIR number 69/2017 under section 8/22 was registered against them and investigation was taken up.
